Education FAQs

At this time CCAR does not offer Pre-License classes. You can reach out to Parkland Community College and see what they are offering and when. If you would rather take this class online you can look on our LEAP Online Education Site or you can go to Illinois REALTORS® and take it there.

We are excited to announce that we are now offering the 45-hour Post-License course here at CCAR. For new members of the association, there is no additional cost to you.

For licensees with a 475 license, the current education cycle is May 1, 2022 – April 30, 2024

For licensees with a 471 license, the next renewal cycle is May 1, 2023 - April 30, 2025

There are a lot of different ways to get registered and pay for a CCAR class. If you are a member you can log into your Info Hub here search for the class, register, and pay from there.
If you are not a member or are having trouble getting into your Info Hub you can call CCAR at 217-356-1389 ext 1002 (for education) and someone will be happy to help get you signed up and pay for the class.

For licensees with a 471 license the State requirements are – 12 hours of CE, which includes 4 hours of CORE, at least 1 hour of the Sexual Harassment Prevention Training class, and 7 hours of elective hours. You are also required to take the 2 day 12 hour Broker Management Course.

For licensees with a 475 license the State requirements are – 12 hours of CE, which includes 4 hours of CORE, at least 1 hour of the Sexual Harassment Prevention Training class, and 7 more elective hours.

As a State school, you are able to find what classes you have taken both under IDFPR CE Lookup and Illinois REALTORS®. Please know that anything you haven’t taken with CCAR or Illinois REALTORS® will not show up at Illinois REALTORS®, however, it should show up on IDFPR. If you are having trouble finding your records either email gabbyp@illinihomes.com or call 217-356-1389 and CCAR will be happy to help you.

As all education has to be sent to IDFPR if you are trying to find out before renewing what you have taken you can check this at IDFPR CE Lookup.
